Thursday – Fiesty Walk-offs

Yasmani Grandal, Matt Albers

1am Eastern Time Yasmani Grandal hit a 2-run home run walking off against the Brew Crew

Josef Martinez - MLS

MLS Megastar Josef Martinez showed that Champions league needs to watch their back–or heads

Cubs may have caught lightning in a bottle, Cole Hammels having a terrible year at Texas pitched 5 scoreless in debut.

Bronte Law

British Bronte Law is chasing excellence with 10 top 25 finishes this season, a major win coming soon?

Sam Darnold

Buzz coming out of training camp is that Sam Darnold (Jets) has the biggest chance of making the starting roster.

Welcome all to Thursday! Dodgers are showing that post season swag with a walk off win against a reloaded Brewers that are trying to make a huge push to the postseason this year. The MLS all star game though without Zlatan was a sight to see with Josef Martinez scoring a unbelievable header in the corner of the goal to a draw with Juventus. Hamels looked to be a risky trade, but so far it got the cubs a much needed quality start. I like to highlight an LPGA player at least once a week, I picked Bronte Law because she has tenacity and she wants to win. I think we won’t have to wait very long to see her name in the headlines. Finally with my fantasy preparations I was looking at rookie quarter back changes and from what I read it looks like Sam Darnold likely has the best chance to make it to start day 1. The interesting thing I found is that no rookie has a guaranteed week 1 start. There was a lot of bad quarterbacks last year, but hey we all need the 1-15 teams out there.
